And so to my second card of the day using my new Altenew Dahlia Blossoms stamp set. This time I used the outline stamp too and I’m really pleased with the different effects you can achieve. I used a lovely floral embossing folder to create the yellow background panel. I really focused my thoughts on Spring when I came up with this card.
I will be entering this into the Uniko challenge for Spring
As well as the Altenew Inspiration challenge.
I know, it’s been a while since my last post but life is just hectic right now. However, to make up for it I have two posts to share with you today. First is this Mother’s Day Card I made for my Nana.
I’ve used my new Altenew stamp set called Dahlia Blossoms and I’m completely in love with it. It’s the first time I’ve tried layering stamps and they are brilliant! I kept the background simple because I wanted the flowers to stand out.
I’ll be entering it into the Uniko challenge for Spring.
I’ve had a lovely time creating this card today. It was inspired by a page in my husbands Bonhams catalogue which I have been given permission to use for craft! So the feathers were die cut from Matin Dore by Henri Le Sidaner and the rest of the card just grew from that.
I’m entering it on the CAS-ual Fridays Off the edge challenge and Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes With Dies challenge.
So I’ve recently donated to Marie Curie and have pinned the little yellow daffodil to my coat with a daily reminder from the girls who chant ‘flower’ at me every morning when we leave the house. With that in mind, and because the stirrings of spring have begun, all my focus seems to be on flowers right now.
Here’s my card to join in the birthday celebrations at Time Out and to herald the start of spring and welcome back the lovely flowers…which reminds me, our garden needs some serious tlc…
I’m also entering it into the Craft Stamper ‘Anything Goes’ challenge.
I’m a little overdue a posting as I’ve been working on a secret project (to be displayed later in the year!).
However as I have now got my new ink pads (I’m very pleased with them!) I’ve been itching to try them out. After much consideration I opted for Memento Dew Drop ink pads as the whole range is very affordable.
So here it is, a birthday card which uses the Creativty Essentials – Trad Florals stamp set.
I’m really pleased with the effect I can get from the ink pads being smaller and tear drop shaped.
Thanks for stopping by!
